ハノイとホーチミンは、今でこそ同じ国の中にありますが、昔はもともと別の国でした。

ハノイとホーチミンにまつわる歴史を解説していきます。

 

ハノイやホーチミンの19世紀以前の歴史

  • 北部のハノイは中国の王朝の統治下。
  • 南部のホーチミンはカンボジアのクメール王朝の統治下。
  • 中部はチャンパ王国という国を築いていた。

昔は、ベトナムの北部・中部・南部でそれぞれ別々の国でした。

 

1830年代にグエン朝がベトナムを統一するが、フランス統治下に入ってしまう

ベトナムは長いこと北部・中部・南部で争ってきましたが、グエン朝が1830年代にベトナムを統一することに成功します。

しかしながら、1887年にフランスがダナンに侵攻し、ベトナムは植民地支配下に置かれます。

そんな中、第二次世界大戦が開戦すると、フランスはベトナムの支配から一旦手を引きます。

1945年には革命家のホー・チ・ミン氏が独立を宣言し、その時に首都がハノイになりました。

 

第二次世界大戦後はフランスとアメリカに侵略され国が二分化するも、ベトナムは2度の戦争に勝利する

1945年に第二次世界大戦終結後、再度フランスがベトナム南部に侵略します。

ここでベトナムは北部と南部で、2つの国に分断されます。

北部の国（ベトナム民主共和国）はベトナム人のものであり、南部の国は侵略者側の支配下にありました。

この時の北部の国の首都がハノイで、南部の国の首都がサイゴン（後のホーチミン）です。

その後、ベトナム民主共和国はフランスに勝利し、その後ベトナム戦争でアメリカにも勝利し、ベトナムは再び統一されることとなります。
